First record of Tetramesa phragmitis (Hym.: Eurytomidae) in Iran

Abstract

The common reed wasp, Tetramesa phragmitis (Erdös, 1952), is newly recorded from Iran. It was collected during surveys on biocontrol agents of common reed, Pharagmites australis (Cav.) (Poaceae), in the West Azarbaidjan province, Urmia. The species is belonged to Trans-Palaearctic region.
